Day 5 of work placement

 Day 5 

Today was a half day as my boss was going out for lunch at 2. But in the morning I came straight into the office and decided with my boss to do a sweep of some of the more high end fabric supplier websites and pick out any fabrics that meet the needs of 2 clients we have with very similar taste and just write them all down so she could order a sample of all them off the trade websites so that the clients could easier see and choose what they liked and didn’t like. Then we loaded up the car and headed over to a clients house to fit down curtains on a runner. Unfortunately the curtain runner was not fitted by us so it was not the most stable and we had a small issue of it falling down in the middle while we were trying to hand the curtains, luckily it was an easy fix but this taught me very quickly that in order to get the best you do have to pay for the best in most cases. Before leaving we measured up so more windows and door and discussed  the client there options for the other window. Today I learnt the value of working with the client in order to achieve the result there most happy with. Although the curtains and fitting of the house wasn’t to mine or my bosses best taste the clients were happy to be in there home which was build and designed by them for them and there needs.
