Week one of FMP
Week One
This was my first week back returning to college after having surgery and where i started FMP.
Monday - i started my day with a trip to the library to try and fond some books that i could use for my research. It was important to me to have physical copies so that i have a variety of research material from a variety of sources. I then spent that resat of the day going through the books and taking photos and analysing what 60s content they had.
Tuesday - I presented my second draft of my project proposal. I feel this went well overall. I did get feedback into what else i could add and take away to improve to make it the best possible proposal i could. I found receiving this critique with the hat system highly useful as i was hitting a block of what else need to be included. I spent the rest of the day fixing and amending my project proposal.
Wednesday - I took a trip to London to deliver my dress to the stitch festival. So i took advantage of being in London and took a troop to the gate modern and the V&A. Firstly i went to the Tate modern, i wanted to see the work they have on display from the 60s, in particular the work from Jackson pollock as i want to integrate his contemporary style when developing my work. I found the Tate to be more limited on resources from the 60s then I anticipated as they had changed some of the exhibitions they had of the 60s since my last visit.
Thursday - we started the morning with group critique where we used the hat method. I find this very useful when receiving critiques as it helps me gain a well rounded answer to any of my questions as well as feed back for my project. After critique, I worked on my research folder, adding more detail to it my project proposal and correcting any issues people may have.
