Week Eleven of FMP

Week Eleven of FMP Monday - I continued to work on my bustles today as there was a lot of hand sewing todo and and I kept testing what I was doing to make sure everything was sitting right and it could hold the weight. I did add more supports to hold around the hips. After finishing my bustle I sewed all of my petals for my flower and I made the flower but hand sewing all the petals together in a spiral motion.   Tuesday - I finished my corset by adding in my eyelets and my pleated to the facing and corset. I feel my final came out really nicely and just how I imaged. Wednesday - today I corrected my pattern on my shift dress and cut out the pieces in the correct fabric, then I sat and caught up on my diary of making and book work of everything I’ve done so far. Thursday - today I sewed all my shift dress together, first French seaming all the front panels together then, all the back panels and side seams. Then I sewed the sleeves on and added the asymmetrical skirt. I do wish I had more of an angle on my skirt. Then I added bias binding to finish the neckline and hip seam and it was done. Friday - today I made my jacket, I started by sewing the top half of the jacket together and adding the sleeves. Then I made the skirt by sewing all the pancakes together and connecting it to the top half of my jacket and making the waist tie. Saturday - I finished the jacket today with the final facing details. Then I started the draping on my skirt. I hand sewed all the draping onto the bodice. I made all the petals to hang off the bottom of my dress. Sunday I then hand sewed the petals onto the bottom of the skirt and I was all done.
