Week 6

Week 6 

Monday today was the final proper day for my white on white shirt exam. I had last things todo like attaching the main collar to the shirt and attaching the sleeves. I had abit of a nightmare trying to attach the collar and I did unpick it 3 times but this was because I wanted it to be perfect. I did end up just having to leave it at what I had in the end just because I needed to attach the sleeves and it was such tiny little things I was getting funny about. The sleeves went on so nicely compared to collar and I’m proud of how much I managed to achieve during this time as it’s only about 2 hours and 45 minutes that I had todo it all in, so I’m pleased with how it went. 

Tuesday - today was such an amazing day, we started life drawing today which I loved. We started by setting up the studio and getting all of our equipment out. Then the model came in and we began to draw. Our art lecture is really helpful when we working as she helped me make sure my proportions are all about right and she gave good guidance about how we are to draw it. My word definitely wasn’t amazing because it’s the first time I’ve ever done something like life drawing but I’m really proud of how it all came out and feel i have a good base for growing this skill. 

Wednesday- today I put the finishing touches on my white on white shirt which were adding a draw string to back and just adding one more hook and eye to the stackable collar so it sat right. This was definitely a challenge but I enjoyed the making process and fast turn around of it as it helped me grasp a lot of new skills, and fully learn time management. 

Thursday - today was another day working on portfolio. I started clean with a new topic of working on my colour project page today. I was originally started by wanting to make a large illustration and adding pattern cutting around it but after talking with my lecturer we decided I was going to make a page full of different illustrations of my colour project and I worked on this all day.
